We all know the heavy hitters of the 80's and 90's/ Uniden, Cobra, Realistic, and Midland, but also running around in the mix was Maxon. They made a lot of decent radios back in the day and also made a lot of the radios for Radio Shack as well. My first 40 channel radio, a Realistic TRC-444 was a Maxon inside.
