The trusty Toyota Echo finally bit the dust. I set out to find a cheap fuel efficient car to replace it with and ended up finding the car I feel best captured the Echo's stabilizes.

This little Mirage is great! Inexpensive, extensive warranty, fuel economy that would make a hybrid blush, and all the features of a modern car.
I just took it on a 700 mile trip for business and it averaged 49.4 MPG's ! The little 1.1 3 cylinder engine mated to a CVT transmission is a great peppy combo. As fast as the Echo with out the need to shift.
I really feel like this is the Geo Metro of it's time, and it's sag so many people passing this one by only to end up with more expensive cars that don't get as good gas mileage.
