When we were looking for lumber to expand our barn, we purchased a huge lot of "Culled wood" this is wood that has some minor issues. Warpage, knots, knicks and other imperfections. These are set aside and sold for pennies on the dollar.
There were a bunch of larger 2x12 and 2x10 pieces and we decided to create some raised beds right at the front of the house to grow peppers and tomatoes in.
In the past raised beds have yielded some great results so I'm excited to see how this plays out.
