I picked this generator up in 1996 right after hurricane Fran rolled though my street. We went without power for 14 days and to be honest I was lucky to be alive. I bought it for $50.00 as it was "locked up" according to the previous owner. It turns out it has sucked up some screws and they were lodged in the magnet area of the generator. I cleaned it up, changed the filters, oil, and gas, and it has served me well ever since.
It has maybe 200 to 300 hours on it since I bought it and is still all original except for the points, I upgraded it to the newer electronic ignition system in 2015.
After all these years I came across a great deal on a larger unit and have decided to part ways with it, but I will say this. They don't build equipment like this anymore!
