Bench Overview: Quick look at CB Base Antennas Part 3: The Big Ones. Beams, Stacked Beams, Quads And More. in the shop.

It's time to talk about the true monster antennas of the hobby. Beam antennas, Stacked beam antennas and Quads.
Back in the day these things could be spotted standing tall above the tree lines hanging off of large free standing antenna towers. Both serious CB users and HAM users consider these to be the game changing item that makes a good setup into a great one.
Be prepared to shell out a lot of money if you want to upgrade to one of these though as you'll need a stout antenna tower, a large HAM style antenna rotor and of course the antenna as well.
Enjoy as it looks like the final part of this series will not be made until next spring. That is when I will finally show some homemade antenna ideas just for CB radio and we'll build one to test how well they compare to a factory MAX 2000.
Here are a few "big boy antennas you can buy.
