Radio Shack may have faded away from relevance long before it's final demise, but for may years This was the store to go to for folks like me. With a product catalog that spanned everything from C-band big dish setups to TRS-80's, R/C cars, those incredible electronic project kits. and of course CB radios, Radio shack exposed a lot of us to our first taste of a lot of new tech.
Sure it wasn't the greatest or latest, but we didn't care. A walk though the local mall would lead to all kinds of discoveries. Things I never knew were possible were proudly on display in the windows of these little stores.
I've decided to make a short series of videos that cover some of the incredible way's radio shack shaped the future.
This is part 1, and it's just some random memories of the cool stuff that once was. Part two will cover the computer revolution, part three will be all about Realistic radios, and finally part 4 will go over the toys, kits, and projects that radio shack used to sell.
