Bench Overview: Quick look at Testing a high powered Indoor TV antenna. How will it compare? in the shop.
The folks from 1byone watched my video of my failing HD stacker and asked if they could send me one of their top performing indoor antennas to review. They knew it shouldn't work as well as a properly mounted roof mount antenna, but they were as curious as I was to see just what kind of signals I would be able to pick up with it.
I tested the Antenna at 3 locations, The Garage, the house and my Mother's house down in Raleigh. In an urban setting it picked up 28 sub stations and worked rock solid on the channels it received making it a perfect choice for that setting. Here at the farm the results were pretty neat too.
In the garage I was able to pick up a channel no other antenna I've tried was able to get, as well as one of the hard to reach channels I that has a lot of sub-stations.
In the house the story was the same... But different. I got two channels here as well, but they were 2 totally different channels! This goes to show how antenna placement makes a large difference in the way they pick up signals.
Overall I'm very pleased with the Antenna. To be honest I thought it would fail to receive any channels here on the farm as my previous attempts to work an indoor antenna proved useless. Thanks to The folks at 1ByOne for sending this to me to review!
